Free-to-play battle royale fps Apex Legends will build on a high-profile launch week with a major competition featuring teams of European and American streamers. Developer Respawn Entertainment is partnering with Twitch for the upcoming Twitch Rivals Apex Legends Challenge, with over $200,000 in prizes.
48 streamers will compete in the event including DrDisrespect, Sacriel, shroud, TSM_Myth, DisguisedToast and RealKraftyy. The 16 three-player squads will battle to acquire the most points within four hours, earning five points per match victory and one point per kill.
The competition for European streamers will take place on February 12th, and the North American contest is a week later on February 19th. A spotlight broadcast will take place on the Twitch Rivals channel, or viewers can tune into the channel of any participating streamer.
