Kingdom Come: Deliverance Studio Acquired by THQ Nordic

THQ Nordic and Koch Media continue to establish themselves as the industry's hungriest IP grabber. With a long line of franchise and studio acquisitions behind them, next up is the team who made medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Released a year ago today after a successful Kickstarter campaign, Deliverance has hit a new milestone with two million copies sold across all platforms, so it's a no-brainer for THQ Nordic's usual type of acquisition. The deal includes rights to the Kingdom Come franchise as well as ownership of Warhorse Studios.

The next question is what happens to the franchise in THQ Nordic's hands. The publisher isn't the quickest at turning those acquisitions into new products, but then again they don't always grab the development studio itself along with the brand. Perhaps with the company's backing, Warhorse can accelerate whatever they had planned to produce next.

We've got the full list of Kingdom Come: Deliverance achievements - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
