Fans of the Mortal Kombat franchise will be well aware that the physics in the games are unrealistic, and Mortal Kombat 11 shows no sign of being any different. As such, developer NetherRealm Studios has started a new video series investigating the science behind the games. In the first episode of "The Science of Mortal Kombat", the team recruits MMA champion Daniel Cormier and Sufficiently Advanced’s Allen Pan to try and shatter Sub-Zero’s head for real. Did they succeed? You can see for yourself below:
Two weeks ago, a leaked achievement list seemed to confirm several returning kombatants in the game. One of those characters was Jade, an undead Revenant who has been resurrected by an evil sorceror and who now serves the Netherrealm armed with a Bo Staff. Her presence in the game was confirmed over the weekend with another new trailer.
This brings the total number of confirmed kombatants to 12, with the roster also confirmed to include Baraka, D'Vorah, Geras, Kabal, Kano, Raiden, Scorpion, Skarlet, Sonya Blade, Sub-Zero, and pre-order exclusive Shao Khan. Who would you still like to see in the game?
We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Mortal Kombat 11 achievements.
