Six months ago, THQ Nordic revealed they had acquired the licence for the Monster Jam franchise. At the time, they revealed they would be tasking Rainbow Studios with producing a new instalment in the franchise for 2019. They're making good on that promise as they've now revealed Monster Jam Steel Titans for release this summer.
Players will be able to train and compete to become a professional Monster Jam driver as they build a career in the sport across competitions like Stadium Racing, 2 Wheel Skill Challenges, Freestyle, Waypoint Racing, Circuit Racing, and Timed Destruction. Making full use of the licence, the game will include all the trucks, athletes, stadiums, and trick repertoire they can fit into the game. You can see it in action below.
Players who choose to pre-order the game digitally will get "immediate access to three awesome Monster Jam trucks as soon as they load the game". We assume this means players won't have to go through the motions of unlocking them like everybody else. Players who pre-order the game at retailers will get access to one of four Gold Monster Jam trucks, so be sure to check with your favourite retailer which of the bonuses they'll be carrying.
Finally, there will also be a Collector's Edition that includes a "limited edition, exclusive Gold Grave Digger truck at 1/24 scale". The Collector's Edition will cost US$79.99/£74.99. The standard edition is priced at US$39.99/£34.99. The title is available to pre-order now and will be released on June 25th.
