GTA Online Gets Seven New RC Bandito Races

By Rebecca Smith, 25 days ago
The weekly GTA Online update has arrived for Grand Theft Auto V, adding another dose of new content, discounts, and time-limited events. This week's highlights include seven new RC Bandito Races, the addition of Arena War Creator, and plenty of double cash and RP opportunities.

Firstly, seven more RC Bandito tracks have been added to Los Santos, spread across locations such as Fort Zancudo, Paleto Forest, and Vespucci Pier. The full list of additions is below:

  • RC - Cargo Chaos: In Los Santos, the glass is always half full. Take Elysian Island, for instance. Look beyond the poorly secured machinery and the routine workplace fatalities, and see a glorious opportunity for some remote-controlled mayhem.
  • RC - Arena Tour: What happens in the arena, stays in the arena. But if you really need to settle a score, you do it the old-fashioned way: fast laps around the building in an RC Bandito.
  • RC – Pierless: Vespucci Pier feels like a low-level acid trip at the calmest of times. See it from the perspective of a twitchy RC car clocking in 30mph past the candy floss stand, and get ready to loosen that mental grip...
  • RC – Water Pressure: The filtration system at the Land Act Reservoir was designed to cope with silt, trash, roadkill, light aircraft and human remains. How about remote-control cars, you say? Only one way to find out.
  • RC - Tourist Trail: Paleto forest is home to more invasive species than anywhere else in the state. Top of the list: morons with RC cars tearing up the undergrowth one irreplaceable habitat at a time.
  • RC - Tour of Duty: If you want to get under the radar at Fort Zancudo, you have two choices. One involves getting pretty friendly with the boys in C Company, and the other involves hopping the fence and supercharged RC cars too small to show up on the scanners. Your call...
  • RC - Mirror Image: What does end phase hipsterism look like? Well, racing around Mirror Park in a car so small you can't actually get inside it is definitely a contender.
Arena War Creator

The Arena War Creator has now been added to the game, allowing players to create their own Arena Races and Arena Vehicle Deathmatches for Future Shock, Apocalypse, and Nightmare. Any of the Arena Contender vehicles can be used in those creations, as well as a variety of lighting options and props.

Other Creator modes have also received updates. After Hours vehicles, such as the Pegassi Oppressor Mk II and the Declasse Scramjet, can be used in these modes now. There's also a Fixture Removal tool added to Race Creator, where players can remove up to 25 items from the map once they have placed a checkpoint.

Double GTA$ and RP opportunities come in the form of all 15 RC Bandito Races, all Contact Missions, Rockstar created Stunt Races, and the Hunting Pack (Remix) playlist, which will all award those bonuses until March 6th. Meanwhile, Bodyguards and Associates will offer a "2X Salary bump". Finally, four unique Radio and Vehicle manufacturer tees — Channel X Tee, Rebel Radio Tee, MTL Tee, and JoBuilt Tee — are available in score crates earned through Freemode Business Battles. Each crate will also reward players with GTA$50,000.

We end the list of highlights with the usual discounts on a range of products. This week it's discounts on items related to Arena War, select properties, and certain vehicles and modifications:
