According to his recently updated Linkedin page, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, one of the three original Lead Designers for The Witcher 3, has been promoted to Vice President of CD Projekt Red. In addition to this, it appears that he has a new role as the Design Director for Cyberpunk 2077 as well.
Tomaszkiewicz has been a part of CDPR for just over 15 years, starting as one of the QA testers for the first Witcher title on PC. Since then, he has held various design jobs for the series, including the Quest Designer for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. His previous experience no doubt played a key role in receiving his new position.
Though CDPR has yet to officially announce his involvement with their upcoming title, It's also worth noting that Sebastian Stepien, the previous Creative Writer for Cyberpunk and one of the three directors of The Witcher 3, left CDPR to join Bizzard in early January. Though it's merely speculation, it's possible that Tomaszkiewicz new role as Vice President is adapted to fill the space in between.
Tomaszkiewicz himself has yet to comment on his position, but considering the success of The Witcher 3, we're certainly expecting big things to come of it. We'll know more about Cyberpunk 2077 when the title appears at E3 this year.
We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Cyberpunk 2077 achievements.
