Just Cause 4 Appears In Xbox Game Pass, Available Now

Another Square Enix title from the second half of 2018 appears to have joined Xbox Game Pass as of today. Just Cause 4's addition has not been officially announced but can be downloaded by Pass subscribers as of this morning.

The surprise addition comes after yet another email tease from the Xbox Game Pass Twitter account. Despite a previous "leaked email" turning out to be a troll, given today's release the clues below may well turn out to be legitimate.

If the "J" game is Just Cause 4, it means that it released a day early in the service and we may see another title turn up today or tomorrow. It also looks like a further game will be announced on March 12th, due to arrive on Xbox Game Pass in April.

Just Cause 4 released in December, just two months ago — making it one of the most recent high profile third-party titles to join the service. In our site review Mark found a decent sandbox experience hidden behind some frustrating design decisions. Square Enix's own Shadow of the Tomb Raider appeared in Xbox Game Pass this year as well. It would seem that the company is on good terms with Microsoft in terms of releasing their recent games on the service — at least those that haven't performed quite as well at retail. We wonder what other Square Enix titles may turn up in the future.
