Rainbow Six Siege May Include Crossplay in the Future

Xavier Marquiz, the Executive Producer of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege recently revealed new information on cross-play capabilities at the sixth Rainbow Six: Siege Invitational. According to Stevivor, cross-play between Xbox One and PS4 users is a future possibility for the game.

When prompted about any future plans for the feature, Marquiz noted that nothing is currently in the works, but the idea is still in discussion:

I’m thinking about it. I’m really happy because I’m now seeing signs from consoles makers to accept it, and for it to be okay to do cross-play. Today we are not really working on it. We are thinking about it, but nothing is planned.
With both Fortnite and Rocket League already demonstrating cross-play capabilities, it's certainly not out of the question. But for now, there's no guarantee that the feature will be available any time soon.
