Back in January, RPG Maker MV was delayed away from its original February release date due to "ongoing issues with development". This was likely due to reports of the Japanese version of the game arriving with bugs, crashes, and the chances of corrupting saves. Unfortunately it seems like these issues could not be solved because developer Kadokawa Games has now confirmed the Xbox One version of the game has been cancelled.
Kadokawa apologises to the players who were looking forward to the game's release. Their statement can be read here if you so wish, but be aware the statement is in Japanese. The game will still arrive in the west on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 where progress has been made in solving the aforementioned issues — these versions will arrive later this year.
