At the start of the month, the final chapter of the "Legacy of the First Blade" story arc in Assassin's Creed Odyssey was released. This isn't all of the content the team has planned for this month, though. The next two weeks includes another episode in "The Lost Tales of Greece", new items, and the release of Assassin's Creed III Remastered and Assassin's Creed Liberation Remastered.
The seventh episode of "The Lost Tales of Greece" has been titled "A Friend Worth Dying For". In this episode, Barnabas suffers a delirious hallucination about a loved one, and it is up to players to help him discover what it means. To start the episode, players must have reached Chapter 5 in the main story and are recommended to be at least level 33. They'll find the episode's first quest, "Odyssey into the Past", on the island of Skyros beginning on March 26th.
A week before the arrival of that episode, the Abstergo Packs will be released. The "Abstergo Character Pack" will contain a new gear set, mount, and bow, while the "Abstergo Naval Pack" will include a ship design, figurehead, and crew theme. These will be available on March 19th. At the same time, a new Legendary Lieutenant skin, Captain Octopus, will become available.
March's content concludes with the release of Assassin's Creed III Remastered and Assassin's Creed Liberation Remastered on March 29th. They will be included as part of the Season Pass, and will also be available "as a standalone" — we're assuming this means as a standalone bundle with both titles included. As well as the Xbox One X enhancements, such as 4K and HDR support, and higher-resolution textures, the games include "increased model improvements and Physically-Based Rendering (PBR)". There will also be gameplay improvements, such as a new user interface, a new economic system, new stealth features, and new Legacy Outfits.
All of the above content can be seen in the March update video below:
Finally, as well as the new content, there will be a Photo Mode Contest beginning today, March 14th. Players are encouraged to submit their photos based on the theme of Ancient Greece’s Myths and Legends. The winner of the contest will take home Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Spartan Collector’s Edition. The contest runs until March 21st, so make sure to submit your photo on the Photo Mode contest web page before then to be in with a chance of winning the prize.
