With the Mortal Kombat 11 closed beta due to begin this week, players are eager to get their hands on five kombatants as they try out the single-player Towers of Time mode and online multiplayer. NetherRealm hasn't forgotten about their other kombatants, though, and they've taken the time to reveal two more fighters for the game, one of which will be a DLC character.
The first of those kombatants is Noob Saibot, the character known as the shadow of the NetherRealm.
Once known by the name Bi-Han, and the original Sub-Zero, Noob Saibot was a cold-blooded assassin, corrupt from years of violence and evil. Murdered by his clan’s enemy, Scorpion, Bi-Han was resurrected as the black-clad wraith, Noob Saibot. Both shadowy and mysterious, his soul was stripped of compassion and remorse, and now he considers himself the perfect warrior using his ninja-like and phantom abilities to carry out his darkest impulses.
The second kombatant is Shang Tsung, the Master Sorcerer who will be the game's first post-release DLC character. Included in the Premium and Kollector’s Editions of the game is the "Kombat Pack" DLC, which will include six additional fighters. Shang Tsung will be the first of those fighters, although he doesn't yet have a release window. You can see his reveal below thanks to RajmanGaming HD:
The host of the first Mortal Kombat tournament and faithful servant to Shao Khan. A powerful, shapeshifting sorcerer, he absorbs living souls to maintain his youthful appearance and command, while morphing into other characters to use his adversaries’ own moves against them in battle.
The characters join the 17 previously confirmed kombatants Baraka, Cassie Cage, D'Vorah, Erron Black, Geras, Jacqui Briggs, Jade, Johnny Cage, Kabal, Kano, Kotal Kahn, Raiden, Scorpion, Skarlet, Sonya Blade, Sub-Zero, and pre-order exclusive Shao Khan. You'll be able to get your hands on all of them when the game is released on April 23rd.
