As one might expect, most of the racetracks for the upcoming Team Sonic Racing have been explicitly based on a level from Sonic's long history. The latest track revealed, Haunted Castle, joins Frozen Junkyard as a new creation for the racing game. That doesn't mean the track doesn't take any inspiration from Sonic's past however with the (rather distorted) clock tower sharing more than a basic likeness to the one from Sonic Unleashed's Rooftop Run level.
Of course, a new track to race on also means a new track to listen to. Written by Sonic Mania composer Tee Lopes and performed by S.A.M.E. with Tei Sena on violin, it's an energetic track but one that still fits the spooky vibe that the name gives off, particularly when that violin kicks in. Have a listen for yourselves below.
Haunted Castle will bring the scares to Team Sonic Racing when it launches on May 21st.
We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Team Sonic Racing achievements.
