To commemorate the recent 25th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls, Bethesda released a celebratory video and, as you might expect, it was mostly dedicated to the series' illustrious past. In a short snippet of the 10-minute long video however, we learned a little of the future. We may not know where The Elder Scrolls VI will be set but we do know one person who will be there: Shirley "Skyrim Grandma" Curry.
As her nickname suggests, the 82 year old captured the hearts of viewers on YouTube by playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and proving age doesn't have to be a barrier to enjoying games, as well as just being a swell person in general. Brought to their attention by a fan petition, Bethesda subsequently invited Curry to one of their studios to be scanned in and she will now be immortalized in the upcoming RPG. You can catch a glimpse of Skyrim Grandma, as well as hearing her reaction, in the video below.
We don't know when The Elder Scrolls VI will be released, but now we can expect Skyrim Grandma to be there to greet us when it is.
