The first part of the v8.20 update arrived last week in Fortnite. This week, Epic Games has added the content update part of the patch, bringing new weapons for Battle Royale and Save The World players, as well as new galleries for Creative players.
Battle Royale players get the new Boom Bow, which fires arrows that have a shotgun shell at the tip. The shells explode on impact, causing hit damage and explosion damage to anything it hits. There's also a new Sniper Shootout Limited Time Mode where the only weapon available is sniper rifles and respawns are deactivated.
Save the World players get the Cannonade Launcher, a rapid-fire launcher that fires small explosive rounds. The launcher will be available from today, April 3rd, at 8 PM EST. The launcher will only be available until 8PM EST on April 10th, so don't wait too long to pick it up. Finally, Creative players get the Boom Bow and seven new geometric galleries, alowing players to add more shapes to their creations.
On March 29th, Epic also released a v8.20.1 client update to fix some of the issues that cropped up with last week's update. For a full list of all of the changes made in content update v8.20 and that client update, check out the full patch notes.
No download is required so the v8.20 Content Update will be available in game now without having to wait for a patch to download.
