Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition Allows Save Transfers from the 360 Version

By Sam Quirke,
If you're a Borderlands fan but the idea of starting from scratch in the Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition is daunting, you're in luck – you can import your Xbox 360 saves into the new Xbox One version.

As spotted by our own community member twitchinmonkey, it's possible to import saves from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One, and you will keep your modded weapons. As noted by Shad0wdar, you will need to boot up the Backward Compatible version of the 360 title from your Xbox One to be able to transfer — you won't be able to do so directly from your 360.

Bender 32y and others have also discovered that certain DLC achievements are then immediately popping on the Xbox One version of the game — in particular those related to the Claptrap DLC's collectibles. Sadly it seems that you still have to push yourself through some of the game's harder challenges — certainly the frustrating Mad Moxxi DLC has no immediate unlocks on the Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition Achievements list — but at least those modded weapons will make the journey to 100% completion somewhat easier.

If you have any other tips or spot additional features in the Game of the Year Edition, let us know in the comments — and thanks to the community for spotting this feature!
