At the end of last year, Panache Digital Games gave players their first glimpse of his team's upcoming third-person open world survival game Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey. The 80 second trailer gave us a brief history of Neogene Africa, all told using footage from the game. The latest trilogy of videos is meant to give players a glimpse into the main aspects of the game, and the first episode looks at exploring the world.
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey will not provide players with a map. Instead, players will have to explore the world themselves, travel anywhere they like, and use their own instincts to make their way through the game. You'll need to monitor three important aspects of your health — hunger, hydration, and tiredness — to survive, as well as surviving attacks from other creatures. The game's Creative Director Patrice Désilets gives players a glimpse into the game's world:
You'll be able to see for how long you can survive when the game arrives on Xbox One later this year.
We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey achievements.
