Red Dead Online Beta Gets Plunder Showdown Mode

By Rebecca Smith, 10 days ago
Over the last few weeks, Rockstar promised to add more Showdown modes to the Red Dead Redemption 2 Online Beta. One of those modes was Plunder, and they've added the mode to the game as part of today's update. As well as the new game mode, there's new clothing added to the store, and some of the requirements for existing clothing have been lowered.

Plunder

In Plunder mode, players fight over frontier resources. Two teams battle against each other to reach a central location and capture supplies that must then be delivered to their base. Of course, you can always steal loot from your opponent's base too. While holding loot, players will be visible to everyone, so you'll need to deliver that loot quickly if you want to survive.

Rockstar has also adjusted the requirements for some items of clothing this week. Until April 15th, all coats, holsters, boots, and gloves that were locked behind a rank requirement of 40 or less will be accessible to all players. At the same time, the Turkoman, Missouri Fox Trotter, and Arabian Horses are now available for players who hit Rank 40. Those who hit Rank 60 will now have access to the Volatile Dynamite, Incendiary Buckshot, Explosive Slug, Express Explosive, and Dynamite Arrow pamphlets.

Finally, there's some new clothing in the Wheeler, Rawson & Co Catalogue:
  • Owanjila Hat
  • Porter Jacket
  • Concho Pants
Plunder mode and the new clothing are available now.
