Sea of Thieves Getting More Achievements with Anniversary Update

By Mark Delaney, 7 days ago
When Sea of Thieves' Anniversary Update goes live in two weeks, it's intended to have something for everyone. The first installment of the Tall Tales campaign, Shores of Gold, will introduce more story content. The Hunter's Call will bring to the seas a brand new trading company. Arena mode will create an entirely different version of the game built for quicker sessions of PVP. For this community and others like it, it'll also have new achievements, as Rare's Joe Neate has confirmed on both their recent developer stream as well as on Twitter.

One of the other new additions is expanded ship combat, including new ways to tear into enemy ships, such as disabling the captain's wheel or even toppling a ship's mast. Now you'll have to repair not just your hull, but other parts of your ship when the seas get saltiest. Explore more of this incoming update in the developer update video below.

The Anniversary Update goes live for free on April 30th.
