Altero Sacrifices Itself to Seek Redemption

By Rebecca Smith, 9 days ago
Electronic Motion Games' "puzzle-adventure game" draws inspiration from titles like LIMBO and Ori and the Blind Forest. As Adi, a voodoo doll, players must make their way through the sorrow forest to rescue the lost souls they find. The game was originally due to arrive on Xbox One earlier this year, but now that the game has a new release window, the team has released new screenshots and 11 minutes of gameplay to show players what they can expect.

Adi needs to perform multiple actions at once, but there's only one of him. To get around this, he must sacrifice himself while performing actions. He'll then come back to life alongside his past selves, co-operating with his ghosts and other characters to get past the puzzles and obstacles in his way. The latest video below shows 11 minutes of gameplay as Adi tries to save others and seeks the redemption he craves so much.

The game aims for players to face their own fears of death and see if they can find the true meaning of life when it launches in Q2 2019.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Altero achievements.
