It's no secret that Netflix has a new TV show on the way, and it's based on the critically acclaimed series, The Witcher. It was recently revealed through Variety that this new adaptation is set to release sometime in late 2019, as opposed to the original 2020 release date.

So what do we know about The Witcher so far? Netflix has finalized the cast list to start, with Henry Cavill taking the lead as none other than Geralt of Rivia himself. The length has also been decided, with the first season being a total of eight episodes that each last an hour. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich is the current executive producer of the show, most notable for being the co-executive producer for Netflix's The Defenders as well as Daredevil. Joining her as a creative consultant is Andrzej Sapkowski, the original author of the Polish book series.

Fans can expect to see the series air sometime in Q4 of 2019.
