Brink Updates Forthcoming

Splash Damage, the developers of, revealed on the Brink website today that several fixes have already been applied to the game with several more set to arrive in the future.

Splash Damage confirms that the already-released patch significantly reduces texture loading times. They also state that issues related to game freezing have been resolved and that the game will insist on playing only the introductory training video as opposed to all of them. Finally, the patch addresses the issue of "rubber banding" in multiplayer by improving client prediction when playing online.

For a future update, Splash Damage acknowledged they will be addressing issues with lag which have been reported in games with a large amount of human players.

Brink was released yesterday to largely average reviews. Splash damage states that many of these fixes address issues that reviewers had with Brink. As noted, this patch has already been released, so if you have not received it, just restart the game while your Xbox is connected to the internet and you should be prompted to download the patch.
