By Rebecca Smith, 1 month ago
Two weeks ago, playtests finally began for the much-awaited squad support in Crackdown 3: Wrecking Zone. Now the feature has finally arrived for all players, and it brings along some free goodies for those who may be interested in checking out the first two games in the franchise. Not only are Crackdown and Crackdown 2 still available to download for free to celebrate their addition to backward compatibility, their premium DLC is now available for free too.

For Crackdown, this means the "Getting Busy Bonus Pack" is now available for free. The pack adds new weapons, vehicles, street racing, mini-games, and five achievements.

5 new weapons (the Lobber & friends), 3 new sets of wheels (armored car, anyone?), new mini-games, new Achievements, not to mention Street Racing. Kitchen sink not included. There are no refunds for this item. For more information, see www.xbox.com/live/accounts.

Of course, the "Free-for-All Pack" continues to be free in Crackdown if you want to download all of the game's content.

Add potent new powers to your Agent repertoire - claim the “Keys to the City” (unlimited cheats), impound vehicles, and resurrect gang members.

For Crackdown 2, this means the "Premium Toy Box Pack" and the "Premium Deluge Pack" are both now available for free. Between them, they added the Deluge co-op arcade mode, Capture the Orb mode, Keys to the City mode, vehicles, other accessories, and 20 achievements.

The Premium Deluge Pack features the complete Deluge co-op arcade mode where you defend the city zones against ever growing waves of Pacific City bad guys. Try it alone or with up to four players on Xbox LIVE for ever more demanding battles.  In addition, the premium pack includes new achievements, avatar awards, and the sixteen-player Capture the Orb mode with 6 arenas.

Expand Crackdown 2 with the Toy Box Pack! It's bursting at the seams with extra toys and treasures, including an expanded Keys to the City mode, the ATV Assault Vehicle, the Squad Chopper, Suit Thrusters, new Agent armor colors, and a Vehicle Tag game, just to name a few. The Toy Box Pack is packed so full it would take a Level 5 Agent to hold it closed!

Finally, as mentioned earlier, squad support has finally arrived in Crackdown 3: Wrecking Zone. We're not sure what else the update added, but as soon as we hear anything else, we'll be sure to let you know.
