Yesterday was Easter Monday and an official bank holiday in the UK. Despite this, we didn't want to disappoint you by holding back the Xbox Gameplay Chart for a day, so we promised that we'd provide the chart's analysis today. You can take a look at the top 40 most played games in the Gameplay Chart here.

Fortnite once again retains the top spot. The gap between that title and Apex Legends in #2 is fairly similar to last week, although both suffer a slight drop in numbers. Rainbow Six Siege in #3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 in #4 swap places despite both suffering a significant drop in numbers, the former due to the end of the Rainbow Is Magic event and the latter because most players have likely already tried out the free Blackout event despite it continuing until the end of the month. The rest of the top 10 remains fairly similar to last week with just small shifts in position, although the start of the Storm Rising event sees Overwatch climb three spots to #10, with The Division 2 being the game to make way for it.

Elsewhere in the chart, the drops are small with the exception of Anthem, which continues its steady decline with another plummet of eight places to #38. Will it still be in the chart next week? The climbs are similarly small, with the only notable climb being the re-entry of Monster Hunter: World at #19 thanks to its introduction into Xbox Game Pass. However, its fellow Game Pass debutant The Walking Dead: A New Frontier is nowhere to be seen in the chart. In terms of Games with Gold, new title Outcast - Second Contact just misses out on a top 40 spot.

There are two new entries this week. New release World War Z crashes into the charts at #24. Fellow new releases World of Warships: Legends and Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster are nowhere to be seen. The other new entry is Brawlhalla which has been steadily hovering just outside of the charts for a few weeks. The introduction of new Hellboy content was enough for it to finally break into the top 40 at #40.

Next week, in a week where few new games are being released both physically and digitally, the only notable new title is Mortal Kombat 11. There's also a chance of seeing new Xbox Game Pass title Resident Evil 5, or perhaps even the appearance of Life Is Strange 2 when the second episode is released on the programme. Don't forget to tune in to see what next week will bring, and in the meantime, you can subscribe to get alerts for all future Xbox Gameplay Charts here.
