Star Wars Battlefront II Update Takes Capital Supremacy to Kashyyyk

By Rebecca Smith, 1 month ago
We've reached the end of the month, which means it's finally time for Star Wars Battlefront II's monthly update to be released. The Giants Above Kachirho update has taken the battle in Capital Supremacy to Kashyyyk, as well as introducing a new appearance for Princess Leia, and adding a blocking system for Darth Maul and Yoda.

Capital Supremacy

Kashyyyk is a map that was originally built for Galactic Assault mode. To make it suitable for Capital Supremacy, the team has made some changes and renamed it as Kachirho Beach. The droids will spawn at the beach front, while the Clones will find themselves at the downed Venator Ship that spews fire and smoke. Between them sit five command posts set in a figure of eight layout amongst a vehicle graveyard, "two near the beach, two near the Venator, and one in the middle". You can find more details on the map here.

Princess Leia gets a new Princess of Alderaan appearance from A New Hope. Players will be able to see the appearance from the collection screen, but to unlock it, they'll need to take part in the May the Fourth Special event that will be running from May 1st until May 6th and will focus on capturing command posts in Capital Supremacy. More details on the event are promised soon.

Thanks to player feedback, both Yoda and Darth Maul have received the ability to block. Yoda will be able to block lightsaber attacks with his own lightsaber, although he can still absorb blaster bolts and lightning. Darth Maul can now use his lightsaber to block all of those. DICE has also teased upcoming content for the game. Next month there will be another new location for Capital Supremacy mode, and an update to Heroes vs. Villains that will change some of the rules and remove the target system. In June, there will be yet another new location for Capital Supremacy. When we hear more about these, we'll be sure to let you know.
