Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection Announced

Warner Bros. made a huge announcement that is sure to please fighting game fans today. On the heels of Netherrealm Studios' well-received reboot of, the publisher announced that they will be releasing the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection on Xbox LIVE Arcade later this summer.

The downloadable release is set to include the original Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 all in one package. Pricing is set at 800 MSP and will include achievements, leaderboards and online play.

The press release is promising that the Arcade Kollection will be "arcade-perfect" and is being developed in a collaborative effort between the Mortal Kombat creative team at Netherrealm Studios and Other Ocean.

We are very excited to finally have the first three Mortal Kombat games available in one download package for long-time and new fans to play. With the release of our 2011 Mortal Kombat, and its return to 2D game play, players have been asking for these classic titles and we are happy to deliver them.
The press release goes on to announce that GameStop will exclusively offer a limited run on the new Mortal Kombat Klassic Fight Sticks designed and manufactured by Performance Designed Products, creators of the sold-out Mortal Kombat Tournament Edition Fight Sticks, bundled with a code to download Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection. This bundle is being priced at $129.99 and can be pre-ordered here.
