In March, The Coalition revealed they were moving on from creating new content for Gears of War 4 so that they could focus on the development of Gears 5 instead. That development seems to be ticking along nicely, and in the meantime, the Taiwan Entertainment Software Rating Board has revealed their official rating for the game. Unsurprisingly, the game has garnered an R rating for violence, horror, and improper language, but what was more surprising is that the rating notice also revealed the game's cover art.
Kait Diaz is front and centre of the artwork now that she's taken over the protagonist role from JD Fenix. He is also on the cover alongside his father Marcus Fenix, their friend Delmont "Del" Walker, and a few of their enemies, including a familiar-looking Swarm/Locust Queen. Take a look:
The one thing the listing didn't reveal was a release date, which is currently unlisted. However, we're fully expecting to see the game at E3 next month, so stay tuned for more information soon.
We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Gears of War 5 achievements.
