Railway Empire's Pun Achievements Go Off The Rails

By Sam Quirke, 6 days ago
We've just picked up the latest DLC achievement list for Railway Empire, and the developers have really doubled down on their puns. Brace yourself for some terrible jokes based on classic French stereotypes.

There are 8 achievements worth a total of 200 Gamerscore, none of which are secret but all of which are just truly terrible.

Railway Empire's achievements have descended further into the pun abyss with each new update, with the base list only including a few gems such as the below:

Railway EmpireLost my train of thoughtThe Lost my train of thought achievement in Railway Empire worth 61 pointsConnect all cities in one game

Things escalated by the time we received word of the Germany DLC achievements, with all of the names riffing on classic fairy tales. Here's our personal favourite:

Railway EmpireRailpunzelThe Railpunzel achievement in Railway Empire worth 70 pointsConnect the cities of Basel and Königsberg in a Germany game.

Of course, nothing compares to the relentless pun assault presented by this latest list. The track to completion might not be so light-hearted though; completing a 100-year free game isn't going to be too easy when you need to get the President score.

We'll be back with more physically painful punnery as soon as the Empire decides to expand further.
