UTV Ignition has released more screenshots showcasing Enoch's quest to recapture God's fallen angels and save the world in El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron
The game is "inspired by an alternate telling of biblical mythology as narrated in the ‘heretical’ Book of Enoch, part of the Dead Sea Scrolls". In this retelling, God had commanded that a group of angels, the Grigori, were to watch over the world. For many centuries they watched, but over time they became infatuated with humans. After succumbing to temptation, they abandoned the radiance of Heaven for Earth. Having incurred the Lord's wrath, the Heavenly Council decided to send a great flood to stop humanity from proceeding down this unintended course and to destroy the fallen angels.
But a human named Enoch, who served as God's scribe in Heaven, made an impassioned plea against this decision. The council agreed to rescind its ruling if Enoch could capture the fallen angels. And so begins Enoch's long quest to save the world...El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron
has not got a confirmed release date for North America or Europe. The game was released in Japan at the end of April.
