We thought we'd sooner see Death himself before it was fixed. We thought hell's Fury would arrive before the much-desired patch. Some of us were even ready to go to War for the change if it seemed remotely possible. Through the years of Strife, I imagine many of us simply gave up hope. To those that didn't, I salute you. It is now possible to complete the BFA achievement in Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition.
The patch was a long time coming as the achievement has been broken and unobtainable since the game's release all the way back in 2015. Humorously enough (or not), the same achievement was also broken for the Xbox 360 version of the game without a word from the developers, which made a fix for the Xbox One version altogether unlikely. But some dedicated hunters persevered and continually brought the issue to the attention of the publisher. I'd like to think that was the straw that broke the camel's back, so thank you to everyone who never gave up.
If you're now interested in the game, it's available on Xbox Game Pass. Now's the perfect time to jump into the best Zelda-like this side of Nintendo. There's also a few brief moments remaining to vote for it in next month's Playlist poll. I'm certain Playlist is the real reason this achievement was fixed.
