While their name is now linked to something rather unsavoury (to be polite), THQ Nordic are probably still best known for buying up all manner of studios and IPs. In fact, they did so as recently as this week, picking up German RPG developer Piranha Bytes, creators of the Gothic and Risen series, as well as ELEX. Now it looks like they're set to put those studios and IPs to good use as the company confirmed in their recent yearly financial report that they currently have 80 games in development, 48 of which are unannounced.
One of those 48 is a game from 4A Games, developer of the Metro series of games. THQ Nordic did help to publish the recent Metro Exodus via their Deep Silver subsidiary, but it remains to seen if it is a continuation of the Metro series or something entirely new.
Perhaps we'll find out what 4A Games is working on — and maybe some of the other 79 games that THQ Nordic has in development — at E3 next month?
