Dead Island 2 Pre-Orders Have Appeared on the Xbox Store

By Rebecca Smith, 21 days ago
Dead Island 2's development can only really be described as rocky. Announced five years ago at E3 2014, the game has since been through developer issues and several delays. In a recent investor's presentation, publisher THQ Nordic confirmed the game is still in development and more information was promised soon. All signs are starting to point towards an E3 2019 reveal, and in case you had any doubts, the game has now appeared for pre-order on the Microsoft Store.

Welcome to Dead Island, where Paradise meets Hell. Release date: December 31, 2019

With most developers and publishers on lockdown until E3, details on the game are scarce. The pre-order does offer a brief description of the game and a placeholder release date of December 31st, 2019, although we'd expect that to be updated when more details are confirmed.

Several months after the events on Banoi, California has become a bloody paradise for those who refuse to leave their homes, and an action-packed playground for renegades who seek adventure, glory, and a fresh start. Choose from an elite crew of heroes who are immune to the zombie virus and are eager to run headfirst into the apocalypse.
We have also picked up three further versions of the game, although their exact contents and regions aren't clear. As soon as we hear more, we'll be sure to let you know.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Dead Island 2 achievements.
