60% of Dauntless Parties Are Using Cross-Play

By Rebecca Smith,
Dauntless narrowly missed out on a top 10 debut in our Xbox Gameplay Chart, but it still had an incredibly successful launch. Developer Phoenix Labs has shared some of the free-to-play action RPG's first week stats where it hit several milestones since its release in PC Open Beta, such as more than six million players taking part on hunts. Of those hunts, 60% were conducted by parties of cross-platform players.

The game was the first to launch with true cross-platform play and progression across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and the Epic Games Store, and it seems like players have been keen to make use of the feature. Other notable milestones include over 20 million hunts that total more than 15 million gameplay hours. Successful hunts have seen more than 13 million Behemoths defeated, but players have taken enough time out of their quests to pet Bruna and Max an "incalculable number" of times. You can see the most interesting stats in the infographic below:

Phoenix Labs continues to work on improving connectivity, and reducing queue waiting times by increasing their player capacity, so those statistics can continue to grow in the future. If you feel like joining in the fun, you can download the game from here.
