Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Trailers Make Use of Improved Weapons

By Rebecca Smith,
Monster Hunter: World will be expanding later this year with "Iceborne". Continuing after the events of the main game, players will take on new monsters in new locations, using a range of new moves and weapons. The latest trailers give players an in-depth look at a variety of weapon improvements players will be using to take down their targets.

The first trailer looks at heavy weapons. We start with the Great Sword that we saw previously, which deals heavy damage. It can be used in combination with the Slinger Dash to deliver a True Charge Slash, one of the moves improved for the expansion. There's also a look at new moves for the Hammer, Lance, Gunlance, and Heavy Bowgun.

Next up are the light weapons that provide a stream of attacks while players dodge enemy attacks. As well as the Long Sword seen last week, this trailer focuses purely on new moves for the Sword & Shield, Dual Blades, and Light Bowgun.

The final trailer looks at technical weapons that have all received upgrades for "Iceborne". There's a Switch Axe, the Charge Blade, Insect Glaive, Hunting Horn, and Bow.

All of these weapon improvements will be added to the game with the "Iceborne" expansion on September 6th.
