Public Enemy and Railroad Baron Come to Red Dead Online

By Rebecca Smith, 4 months ago
The Red Dead Redemption 2 weekly update adds a new Public Enemy Showdown mode, a new Railroad Baron Free Roam event, new clothing, and a few discounts to Red Dead Online. There's even another free gift, although this one is much smaller in nature than last week.

Public Enemy

In the latest Showdown Mode, Public Enemy, two teams do battle in a bid to get the most points. One player on each team is designated the Public Enemy, although this role will then rotate amongst players throughout the match. There are two ways to score points in the round. The first is to take down the Public Enemy on the other team. The second is to be the Public Enemy for your team and get points for every kill you make while in that role.

If you prefer the Free Roam aspect of multiplayer, you'll be more interested in Railroad Baron, a variation of King of the Castle. Players must capture as many train cars as they can. To do this, they need to keep control of the train car's active area for the longest amount of time over the course of the event.

New clothing has arrived in the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue, such as the Bellerose Hat, Flores Vest, and limited supplies of the Calhoun Boots, Raccoon Hat, and Shaffer Chaps. All players who log into the game this week will get a free gift of the Bellerose Hat variant shown in the screenshot below, while additional variants will be available in the store if that colour doesn't take your fancy.

Finally, there are a couple of discounts available. All Provisions are available at 35% off, while all Wilderness Outfitters items for customising your camp are available at 25% off.

The update is available now.
