Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith DLC Reportedly Bridges the Gap to Borderlands 3

Rumours have been circling for some time about a new piece of Borderlands 2 DLC that will bridge the gap between that game's story and Borderlands 3. Last night, a Steam product listing that has since been removed did indeed reveal the impending arrival of the "Commander Lilith & The Fight For Sanctuary" DLC that will bring players back to the game ready for Borderlands 3's release in September.

According to the DLC's description, players can look forward to a raise in level cap to level 80, while any new player will instantly be levelled up to level 30 so they can immediately play the DLC. This will prepare players for helping Lilith and the Crimson Raiders defend Sanctuary:

Return to the award winning shooter-looter for a new adventure that sets the stage for the upcoming Borderlands 3. Sanctuary is under siege, the Vault's map has been stolen and a toxic gas is poisoning Pandora. Fight new bosses, explore new zones, get new loot (including an entirely new tier beyond Legendary) and join up with Lilith and the Crimson Raiders to take on a deranged villain hell-bent on ruling the planet

According to the content page before it was removed, the DLC will be released in just three days time on June 9th.
