Everything Announced at EA PLAY 2019

By Sam Quirke,
EA Play might be over, but if you missed it (or you're desperate to re-watch Greg Miller's awkward patter) you can still check out the full thing on Mixer below. You can also check out the full E3 2019 schedule to find out what else is happening over the event.

EA left little to the imagination this year, having previously announced exactly what will be covered in the stream. A fifteen-minute warm-up precedes a thirty minute segment about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which revealed brand new gameplay. Forty-five minutes in you will see a half-hour section on Apex Legends, including the reveal of the next legend Wattson. After that, Battlefield V took the stage to talk about its new maps and upcoming Pacific Theater content in Chapter 5 — incidentally, Battlefield V just got added to the EA Access Vault. We then had a full hour of EA SPORTS with FIFA 20 and Madden NFL 20, the former adding a full street football story mode. The show wrapped up with the reveal of The Sims 4's next stuff pack, Island Life.

What about Anthem? Well, it got an extremely awkward five minutes in which BioWare asserted that the game is still alive and looking to make big changes in the future in collaboration with the community, via its public test server on PC. That was about it.
