By Jonathan Barnes, 7 years ago
Back when Mass Effect 2 was released for the PlayStation 3, many gamers were curious as to how BioWare intended to catch the Sonyphiles up on the previous adventures of while still maintaining the ability to shape the narrative. BioWare effectively solved this problem by creating Mass Effect 2: Genesis, an interactive comic that would let gamers make some of the key decisions from Mass Effect so as to customize their Shepard for Mass Effect 2.

Today, Mass Effect 2: Genesis was released to the Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

The experience is described with the following:

This digital comic back-story was created by BioWare and Dark Horse comics. The 15 minute interactive experience allows you to make the key choices of Mass Effect 1. This retelling will also let you have those choices reflected during Mass Effect 2.
Mass Effect 2: Genesis costs 320 MSP, contains no achievements (but DOES give you the ability to create a "quickie-Shepard" to start a new ME2 playthrough), and can be downloaded here.
