Xbox Game Pass For PC is Available Now – For £4 in the UK and $5 in the US

By Rich Stone,
[UPDATE] – Although the Store page doesn't reflect this, it looks like the £1/$1/€1 offer is only working for brand new subscribers to any Game Pass service, or perhaps only Xbox Insiders — if a user logs in that already has the Xbox console version of Game Pass, they seem to be unable to apply the discount. Still, the Pass is only £3.99/$4.99/€3.99 per month full price, and it looks like Game Pass Ultimate will include both and is currently only £1/$1/€1 for a month. We'll find out all the details later today at the Xbox E3 briefing.

[UPDATE 2] – Although we haven't been able to confirm if all of the new PC titles coming to Xbox Game Pass will have achievement support, certainly some older games are having achievements retroactively applied. For example here's the Football Manager 2019 (Windows) Achievements list.

[UPDATE 3] – Bought the Pass but can't download the games on your PC? That's because there's a hidden Windows update that is required to start using Game Pass on PC. Check your Settings, and make sure to hit the "Check for updates" button to grab the latest system update. Microsoft are throttling the roll-out of the required update (update 1903), so it may not be available in your Updater tool just yet. However you can head here to directly download 1903. Take extra care. Although this is all very exciting, we wouldn't normally recommend downloading a major Windows Update this soon after release because there may be some bugs and security flaws.

We've known for a couple of weeks that Xbox Game Pass For PC was on the way, and we can reveal that the subscription has just hit the Microsoft Store and is available to purchase right now for only $1/£1/€1:

Scattered reports from Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers seem to suggest that the PC variant of the Pass is included in their subscription, which makes Ultimate an even more attractive deal for those with a gaming PC as well as an Xbox. Will you be diving in?

Yo! Rich here - I was the one that created TrueAchievements back in 2008 as I felt the Xbox Gamerscore system could be improved. The site has evolved massively since then and it's now the biggest and best Xbox community on the planet! Racing games and open world shooters are my thing, but I'll give most genres a go. Except RPGs - those things are evil.
