It's all kicking off today, and the Xbox E3 briefing hasn't even started yet! Not only has Xbox Game Pass for PC become available with existing PC games getting achievement support, but the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is now available to all. The 1-month pass is only £1 / €1 / $1!

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes Xbox Live Gold and over 100 high-quality games for one low monthly price. Play together with friends and discover your next favorite game. The purchase of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate automatically upgrades your Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass memberships. See the FAQ for special Xbox Insider pricing and details.

Unusually, there are prices up for the whole range of subscription options, up to 24 months which will cost you a whopping $359.99 / £263.99 / €314.99. One month will normally cost $14.99 / £10.99 / €12.99, but it's down to a single unit of your favourite currency.

What's more, it appears that any existing subscriptions on your account are automatically converted to Ultimate at the same rate — we've had users with a regular Xbox Live subscription already set up through to 2022 have the entire subscription upgraded to Ultimate for just today's $1 payment. Reports suggest that you can convert up to 36 months of your existing combined Xbox Game Pass and Gold subscription to Ultimate for just a single £1 / $1 charge.

Nothing has been confirmed yet, so take care with your purchases. We don't know the exact rules at play here, and we probably won't until the Xbox E3 briefing is finished.

What is in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate finally brings all of Xbox's subscription services together. Bundled into the Ultimate Pass is Xbox Live Gold, your ticket to online multiplayer, four free games a month and a bunch additional discounts in each weekly Store sale. You can see the current and upcoming free Games with Gold on our home page. Xbox Live Gold as a stand-alone subscription is usually $9.99 / £6.99 / €6.99 for a month.

You also get the Xbox Game Pass. This gives you access to over 100 Xbox games to download and play on your Xbox One console — the list is updated on at least a monthly cycle, with games leaving and joining the Pass. It's a mix of recent AAA titles and indies, as well as some backwards compatible Xbox 360 games. Some new games launch straight into Xbox Game Pass — this includes every first party game from one of the Xbox Game Studios, plus the occasional indie. We have a full list of current Xbox Game Pass games. Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One as a stand-alone subscription is usually $9.99 / £7.99 / €9.99 for a month.

You also get the Xbox Game Pass for PC. This gives you access to around 100 PC games, most with achievement support. This list is expected to update on a similar monthly cycle and is expected to include all first party Xbox Game Studios games. It also includes some PC games that are not available on Xbox One, such as SEGA's Football Manager 2019. We are building a list of Xbox Game Pass for PC games. Xbox Game Pass for PC as a stand-alone subscription is usually $9.99 / £7.99 / €9.99 for a month.

With Ultimate costing £10.99 a month as standard, you are making quite a saving — particularly if you normally buy your Xbox subscriptions full price.
