Cyberpunk 2077 Gets Introduced by Keanu Reeves

Cyberpunk 2077 made a big splash at last year's Xbox press conference. It seems this year is no different. Early on in the conference, Microsoft dazzled us all with a new cinematic trailer that was awesome and, better yet, end-capped by the appearance of everyone's current favourite: Keanu Reeves.

After making an appearance on stage, Keanu gave us a few bits of information about that game that many fans were already expecting. There's a vast open world with a branching storyline. You can customize your character through in-game choices. It's set in a city where body modification is an obsession and our hero lives in the underbelly of that city. Does this leave you wanting to see more? There's always the gameplay trailer that offers a few snippets that might be right up your alley and, of course, a confirmation of the release date.

The additional gameplay trailer shown at E3 isn't currently available but we'll update this article when it appears. You can, at least, get your digital pre-orders in now on the Xbox Store, where the standard edition of the game is $59.99 / £59.99 / €69.99. The store page confirms that the game is Xbox One X Enhanced with 4K Ultra HD — no mention of HDR 10 as of yet though.

Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you.

Cyberpunk 2077 now has a release date: April 16, 2020.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Cyberpunk 2077 achievements.
