It's been a very busy week for Gears 5. It had a huge stage presence at the Microsoft presser where The Coalition revealed more modes, more story content, and even some Terminator DLC.
The next headline for Gears revolves around its blossoming esports league, which is fittingly called ELEAGUE, stylized in all caps like the hulking war machines the characters all are. If you're the type to get into esports, you'll want to tune into TBS beginning this Friday. A multi-week documentary series will chronicle some of the biggest names in the competitive Gears scene.
The series, The Bonds and Betrayals of Brotherhood, will air for six consecutive weeks as the players prepare for and then compete in the Gears Summer Series on the weekend of July 13th. You can get acquainted with some of the names and faces of the Gears elite with this trailer below.
If you're more of a story mode fan, the recent casting announcement may appeal to you more. Rahul Kohli of iZombie and the upcoming Harley Quinn animated series, will be portraying Fahz Chutani, as he announced himself on Twitter with this excited pose.
