24 Years Later, Romancing SaGa 3 Heads West on Xbox One

During Square Enix Live E3 2019, the publisher revealed they would be introducing another instalment of the SaGa franchise for Xbox One gamers with a HD remastered version of Romancing SaGa 3. Originally released on the Super Famicom, the RPG will be making its debut in the west 24 years after it was released in Japan.

Romancing SaGa 3 is the concluding part of the Romancing SaGa storyline. The Death Eclipse occurs every 300 years and kills all newborn life. Throughout time, only two children have ever survived the eclipse, and they were blessed with incredible powers. One became The Devil King, using his powers for terror and destruction. The other became the Holy King, fighting evil and bring peace back to the world. With the eclipse due to occur again and another blessed child due to be selected, no-one knows whether they will be evil or good.

Players choose from one of eight characters, each of whom have their own storyline to explore and their own perspective on the game's main events, offering plenty of replayability. The HD remaster will also have improved graphics and new game content, including new dungeons, scenarios, and a new game + mode. You can see the game in action below:

We don't have a release window for Romancing SaGa 3 yet, but we'll be sure to let you know as soon as we do. Unfortunately Xbox One players won't be getting the second game in the trailer, SaGa SCARLET GRACE: AMBITIONS, as this is only coming to Nintendo Switch, PS4, mobile, and Steam.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Romancing SaGa 3 achievements.
