FromSoftware's collaboration with George R.R. Martin, Elden Ring, may well be grabbing all of the headlines right now, but it isn't the only game the developer is preparing for Xbox One players. Metal Wolf Chaos was originally released on Xbox back in 2004, but only in Japan. The developer has teamed up with General Arcade, 15 years later, to modernise the game as Metal Wolf Chaos XD and bring it to western audiences for the first time this summer.
Originally scheduled to be released last year, the game was delayed and we hadn't heard from it for several months. Publisher Devolver Digital thought that had been long enough and while the game didn't appear during their Devolver Digital Big Fancy Press Conference, they have announced a new summer 2019 release window. As well as the previously revealed refined visuals, including 1080p, 4K and 16:9 widescreen support, the publisher also confirmed the game will get improvements to its control system and gameplay, as well as a new save system. There shouldn't be too much longer to wait now!
We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Metal Wolf Chaos XD achievements.
