Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Update Tweaks Weapons and Nerfs Heist Exploit

By Rebecca Smith,
The Days of Summer event began last week in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, bringing a new Multiplayer map and mode, adjustments to the Blackout map, and a new Zombies gauntlet amongst the list of changes. Ahead of this week's update, Treyarch has released a small patch that tweaks some weapons, game modes, and Specialists, including a nerf for a Heist exploit.

Days of Summer

While Blackout mode received some unspecified "general stability improvements" and Zombies mode didn't get any fixes at all, the full list of Multiplayer changes can be found below:

Weapons

• Peacekeeper
  • Reduced damage ranges.
• S6 Stingray
  • Increased burst delay while using the Operator Mod.
• Locus
  • Addressed an issue that caused the reticles of some optics to be misaligned.

Game Modes

• Heist
  • Closed an exploit where players could use Equipment during the Buy phase.
• Capture the Flag
  • Matches can no longer end in a draw if no team captures the flag in round 3.

Specialists

• Outrider
  • Hawk can now target enemies even after the controlling player has died.
• Seraph
  • Closed an exploit where Seraph could get infinite respawns on a Tac-Deploy beacon.
This week's update is due to arrive tomorrow, introducing changes to the Alcatraz map in Blackout. We'll be sure to bring you those details as soon as we get them. Meanwhile, we've also been promised more details about the new Contracts system, such as contract types, challenges, and rewards, so keep your eyes open for those too.

We've got the full list of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 achievements - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
