Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat League Ranked Mode Arrives Tomorrow

By Rebecca Smith, 1 month ago
Experienced Mortal Kombat 11 will surely have taken part in the game's ranked matches by now, perhaps trying to improve their skills in time for a tournament. For new players, ranked matches might instead sound like torture, but NetherRealm's new Kombat League aims to introduce a new seasonal ranked mode for all players to be able to earn rewards, and it will be available tomorrow.

Throughout the four weeks of each season, players will take part in ranked matches with the aim of working their way from Apprentice rank through nine tiers to the ultimate Elder God rank. Players will be matchmade depending on their skill level, the aim being to make sure that matches are as fair as possible. You'll be able to see your odds of beating your opponent in a meter that's displayed at the start of each match.

For each rank that players manage to unlock, they'll get in-game items. Items can also be earned through daily and seasonal quests, like playing a certain number of matches, or spilling a set amount of blood. The items are described as exclusive, and once the season ends, players will be able to begin a new season immediately with access to a new list of rewards. The first season will be the Season of Blood, offering skins for characters like Scorpion, Skarlet, Kitana, and Erron Black.

The Kombat League arrives tomorrow, June 18th, as part of a free update. Players who have purchased the Kombat Pack will also get early access to Shang Tsung, the first of six characters included in the DLC pack.
