Fallout 76 Double XP Event is Running Now

By Rebecca Smith, 1 month ago
If you're one of the 52,860 TA players who have started Fallout 76 but haven't yet reached level 100, this weekend's double XP event may be of interest to you. Running right now, the event will continue until 12:00 p.m. EDT on June 24th, giving you four days to make use of the XP bonus in Adventure and Survival Modes and work your way towards the Fallout Forever achievement.

The day after the event finishes, Bethesda is planning on releasing patch 10.5. The patch will include fixes for Nuclear Winter and bring it into the Beta phase. This includes the ability to equip Underarmours you already own, as well as reintroducing Daily Quests. One of the bugs that will be fixed in Adventure and Survival Modes is a problem with the Gun Fu Perk, while they'll also bring back the Operation Tidy Daily Quest. This patch is due to be released on June 25th, and more details have been promised on the day of release.

If you haven't been back to the game since the start of the month, you'll be yet to try out the Nuclear Winter battle royale mode. While the mode was initially supposed to offer a pre-beta sneak peek for just a week, the mode proved so popular that the mode remains online. Bethesda has shared some statistics from the game's first week of play:
  • Top 5 Deadliest Creatures (not counting other players) - Extra Crispy Scorchbeast, Glowing Mirelurk Hunter, Mutant Hound, Mirelurk, and Feral Ghoul Stalker
  • Number of Deaths Caused by Creatures - 88,882
  • Number of Clumsy Candidates That Fell to Their Death - 67,648
  • Punches Thrown by Appalachian Pugilists - More than 425,000
  • Most Popular Weapon in the Final Circle - Combat Shotgun
  • Average Deaths Per Nuke - 3
  • Most Deaths From a Single Nuke - 18
While the smaller patch is expected next week, the team is still working on a bigger patch that will include bug fixes in all modes and Power Armor improvements. More details on this patch will be revealed "in the coming weeks".
