Xbox Gameplay Chart: Week Ending June 23rd, 2019

By Rebecca Smith, 24 days ago
Let's be honest. There's very little right now that stands a chance of coming close to Fortnite's domination of the Xbox Gameplay Chart. Instead, it's often more interesting to see what happened elsewhere. This week we've had new releases in Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, as well as DLC expansions for Jurassic World Evolution and Neverwinter. Rivals of Aether was released on Games with Gold too, and Resident Evil Revelations and Rare Replay were reeased on Xbox Game Pass. Did any of these games make a dent on the chart? Take a look at the top 40 most played games in the Gameplay Chart to find out:

The answer to the above questions is no. Not a single one of the new releases, Games with Gold, or Xbox Game Pass games hit the chart — in fact, they didn't even come close. The result is we don't have a single new entry or re-entry on the chart this week.

Meanwhile, Fortnite stays firm in the #1 spot with a significant lead over the game in #2, Rainbow Six Siege. Very little changes in the top 10 overall, with just ROBLOX and Forza Horizon 4 swapping places in #7 and #8 despite both recording an increase in player numbers.

The only notable climber is ARK: Survival Evolved, which climbs six spots to #18. The game's new Valguero content went live on PC last week, although the content is yet to be released for consoles. More games took a tumble in the chart, though. Despite a new patch, Sea of Thieves falls five places to #22. Fallout 76 drops 12 places to #27 now the free weekend is over, while Metro Exodus drops five places to #30 now that interest is waining in the new Xbox Game Pass title.

Next week could possibly see entries from a few retail releases. There's The Sinking City, F1 2019, Samurai Shodown, and Monster Jam Steel Titans. While the unannounced Game with Gold will likely arrive too late to make much of an impact, there's also Goat Simulator being released on Xbox Game Pass. Don't forget to tune in to see what next week will bring, and in the meantime, you can subscribe to get alerts for all future Xbox Gameplay Charts here.
