The Surge 2 will include several improvements upon the game's first instalment. The latest gameplay demo from Deck13 Interactive shows off some of the game's world, including its huge new levels, its dangers, and some of the changes players can expect to see when the game is released later this year.
The gameplay shows the return of the uncompromising combat that players experienced in The Surge, although this time it comes with new move sets, more weapons, more implants, more armour sets, directional blocking, and more options to customise your character. These are all things you'll need to be able to take on the game's improved bosses, although you'll have several different routes to choose the plan of attack that fits most with your style. The levels within Jericho City are bigger and environments have more variety. There are also completely new features like drones and asynchronous multiplayer, all of which are shown off in nearly nine minutes of gameplay with commentary provided by Head of Game Design Adam Hetenyi:
You'll be able to see how the game has improved for yourself when it hits Xbox One on September 24th.
We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the The Surge 2 achievements.
