Vote Now for August 2019's TA Playlist Game

By Mark Delaney,
As we do every year, we're using TA Playlist to get you up to speed with some of the biggest franchises before their next sequels hit stores this holiday (don't look now but that time is almost here). We've got four mighty picks to choose from in our latest poll. Pick your favorite, the one in your backlog, or maybe one in which you need co-op help as several are good for that this month. Your virtual voting booth is open for one week, then we'll share the results.

Borderlands 2

Gamescom 2

A new era of shoot and loot is about to begin. Play as one of four new vault hunters facing off against a massive new world of creatures, psychos and the evil mastermind, Handsome Jack. Make new friends, arm them with a bazillion weapons and fight alongside them in 4 player co-op or split-screen on a relentless quest for revenge and redemption across the undiscovered and unpredictable living planet.

DOOM returns as a brutally fun and challenging modern-day shooter experience. Relentless demons, impossibly destructive guns, and fast, fluid movement provide the foundation for intense, first-person combat – whether you’re obliterating demon hordes through the depths of Hell in the single-player campaign, or competing against your friends in numerous multiplayer modes.

Gears of War 4

Gears of War 4

A new saga begins for one of the most acclaimed video game franchises in history. After narrowly escaping an attack on their village, JD Fenix and his friends, Kait and Del, must rescue the ones they love and discover the source of a monstrous new enemy.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands

Special Operation I

Create a team with up to 3 friends in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon® Wildlands and enjoy the ultimate military shooter experience set in a massive, dangerous, and responsive open world.
All but Wildlands can be played via Xbox Game Pass and all of them offer some sort of multiplayer modes too. Gears does offer a hefty list of over 30 partly discontinued or unobtainable achievements, but most people voting for that aren't in it for the achievements anyway, right? As always, any version of any game will apply to your TA Playlist profile badge. This month, that only includes the 360 version of Borderlands 2.
