Wolfenstein: Youngblood Is Set To Release Early For PC Gamers

By Heidi Nicholas, 27 days ago
Taking place almost twenty years after The New Colossus, Wolfenstein: Youngblood sees players take to the streets of Paris as BJ's daughters, Jess and Sophie Blazkowicz. Yet some players may be taking to those streets earlier than others, with the news that Wolfenstein: Youngblood is coming one day sooner to PC.

PC gamers will therefore have access to the game this Thursday, whilst the release date for console players is still set for Friday. Bethesda announced the earlier release date in a Twitter reply but have not yet given a reason for it. The Youngblood pre-load became available for Xbox, PC and Switch players today, although PC players who have pre-purchased the game will of course have the earliest access.

Don't feel too bereft though: in only a few days Xbox gamers will be taking part in what Bethesda is calling the "most open-ended Wolfenstein experience to date". Those who pre-order can fight in Nazi-occupied Paris with the Legacy Pack, which includes two new power suit skins, two new weapons, and a new skin set for all ranged weapons.

For Xbox One, Youngblood comes with online co-op and will be Xbox One X Enhanced with 4K Ultra HD capabilities. According to the Store it will have an approximate size of 38.97 GB. You can check out all the details and track prices below, as well as pre-download the game if you decided to pre-order it.

We're expecting the achievement list very soon, but if you can't wait that long you can check out the trophy list which will almost certainly be similar.

I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
